Akame can be summed up by this and this alone……
Akame Ga Kill is about a Group of Individuals who banned together to form Night Raid, a covert Assassins branch of the Revolutionary Army. The army was formed to combat the greed and power hungry Prime Minister Honest. Who took advantage of the child emperor’s inexperience with leading a Nation.
The Newest member of the assassins’ branch is a boy named Tatsumi. He arrives from his remote village in hopes of gaining glory and wealth for his impoverished hometown and was won over by not only Night Raid’s ideals, but also their resolve.
Akame ga Kill! follows mostly Tatsumi as he fights the Empire and battles against fierce and insanely powerful assassins and and foes and has to come face to face against his own morals and sacrifices that must be made when working as an Assassin.
The show itself in my opinion is really good. It has solid action, a standard, yet nice art style. While it more than likely won’t win the best anime of all time award. It has a solid merit to it.
What I would tell anyone watching this for the first time is to NOT GET ATTACHED TO ANYONE. The characters are likeable and some of them you may get attached to without realizing it.
Lionelle had to be my favorite next to Esdeath, Esdeath is a terrible person but I developed a small crush on her which probably says something bad about myself. But Lionelle she just, whew made me sweat. She was really cool and her personality was very popy and not reserved the way I see a lot of female anime characters.
All in all do not get attached to anyone because your heart will be tested in this anime. Without giving any spoilers, whoever you start to like is a good chance they aren’t going to make it out of this alive.
The interesting part is you start to see personalities on the opposing side. You start to see there is something to care for and it’s not just black and white, good Vs. Evil. People fighting with differing ideals and what they believe in.
BUT THEN THERE IS THIS B@$#%!!
Don’t let her previous innocence fool you. She will earn her hatred….just watch.
But yes, Akame Ga Kill is definitely worth the watch.
The action in the show is really good, there is enough in it to keep you on edge for a bit.
So to pretty much sum up Akame Ga Kill…….It’s Game Of Thrones for Anime Fans. I bet George RR Martin would have had a hand in this and is secretly an Animufan. Surprisingly enough, not as much nudity as Game Of Thrones though.
