We all know that most to all live action adaptions suck. We’ve seen this time and time again with movies like Dragon Ball: Evolution and Attack On Titan. But Recently a live action has been announced for Fullmetal Alchemist. I’m going in with the lowest expectations possible, because historically these kinds of movies have not been great.

Fullmetal Alchemist is the manga series written by Hiromu Arakawa, with the anime Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (we don’t talk about the original anime) It was announced late last year that this movie would be coming out in winter of 2017, which is a long way from our current standpoint. So I’m just going to wait for my judgment. 75% of me thinks this going to be very bad, 15 % thinks its going to be alright and then 10% has no idea what to feel. I am excited but at the same time I’m not. The actors they chose aren’t anything special, they don’t embody the role or betray it. I want to wait and see but at the same time I don’t I am going to be quite interested on how they convey the world that is portrayed in the manga using real life characters. From the trailers and image teasers, it seems alright. Nothing major or special about it. with a fantasy movie like this, it is going to be CGI heavy with most of the alchemy and some of the characters portrayed this way. Though they might be even worse than the original and screw up the story even more.
