I love anime films, and I have seen quite a few so I thought I’d make a list of my top favourite. This list is mainly Studio Ghibli films, but you can’t blame me since they do make some really good films.

  1. Princess Mononoke

This was one of the first Studio Ghibli films I watched (the first was The Cat Returns, which was meh compared to the other Studio Ghibli films I have seen). The story was interesting and I think I ended up watching it twice. I haven’t seen it again since, and it’s been a while since I have seen it so I can’t really tell you what happens. All I know is that I enjoyed it, which is why I consider it a favourite.

2. Spirited Away

I really love this Studio Ghibli film, while it isn’t my top favourite, I still love it a lot. I have seen this film a lot and I don’t regret buying the DVD at all. I even have a mod on The Sims 3 which allows my Sims to watch a scene of the film (the train scene where the girl – can’t remember her name – is with no face and the little cute rat thing). Haku is definitely my favourite character – he’s so cool!

3. Naruto: The Last

I really love this film, I have seen it so many times and it’s just so cute. It’s like they combined Naruto with Shoujo, my two favourite things, to create this film. It’s also nice to see the characters grown up. The story is nice and interesting, and it can be watched without fully knowing the events from the anime (I watched it when I was still at the beginning of Shippuden, but then I did know more about Naruto than I should). The only thing I dislike about this film is that there is no Itachi and Sasuke gets a teeny amount of screen time.

4. My Neighbour Totoro

This film is so cute! I absolutely love Totoro, and this is most likely a favourite because it’s so cute. I’ve only seen it once but my boyfriend bought it for me on DVD as a gift, so I’ll be rewatching it soon. Even the main character’s little sister is pretty cute too.

5. Howl’s Moving Castle

This is my favourite, it beats every film on this list. It’s full of magic and a little bit of romance (which is very cute). It’s pretty funny too, especially the old witch who turns Sophie into an old lady. Calcifer is awesome and he’s probably my favourite character – tied with Howl.
