Playstation VR has been out for a few months now, and it’s pretty expensive. It’s not the most expensive VR headset out there, but when you take into consideration that you may need to buy a Playstation Camera for it to work (unless you already have one) and Playstation Move. So it all adds up.

I didn’t get to use it for very long because it wasn’t mine, but from what I experienced I’d definitely say it’s not worth the money. It’s cool, but there aren’t many games that support it and there are quite a few negatives.

There are side effects, which is to be expected. Any longer than an hour of use and you can expect to feel sick and have a headache. Even if you have frequent breaks while using it, the side effects will still appear.

I also found that if the room got too hot, the lenses would fog up, which is definitely a downside.

One good thing about it, is that it’s very easy to set up, which is definitely a plus.

There aren’t many titles that work with VR, but you can still use it for most games. It’s just looking at a TV screen through goggles and that’s it. I wouldn’t recommend doing it, since it’s definitely better to play non-VR games without the headset.

Resident Evil 7 does work with VR, and it’s definitely a fun way to experience the game.

It’s definitely a good idea to try one out before you buy it, as you may not like it, and it would be a waste to spend all of that money on something you may not like.

The side effects are the biggest downside to it, as I doubt anyone likes feeling ill from playing video games. This is why I really recommend trying it out, in case the side effects are something you won’t be able to put up with.
