The hardest Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA songs on Extreme difficulty.
I’ve been playing Project DIVA for nearly two years now, and I’ve played all of the games (PSP, PS3 and PS Vita) in the main series up to F 2nd.However, this is a list that’s my opinion and what I personally found difficult on the games. This list will include songs from the following games:
⦁ Hatsune Miku – Project DIVA 2nd *
⦁ Hatsune Miku – Project DIVA Extend *
⦁ Hatsune Miku – Project DIVA f/F
⦁ Hatsune Miku – Project DIVA F 2nd

Also known as Dreamy Theatre 2nd/Extend. The ones in the list above were released for the PSP, whereas the Dreamy Theatre versions were released for the PS3.

I have left out any games I haven’t played, since I won’t be able to judge from my own personal experience, and I have left out the first Project DIVA game due to its highest difficulty being hard – which makes the game very easy compared to its successors, and this is a list about songs on extreme.

⦁ The Intense Voice of Hatsune Miku
This song is the hardest song in the series, mainly because of how difficult it is in Project Diva 2nd and Extend. If you haven’t yet played it, then I highly recommend watching someone play it on YouTube. I’ve been trying to complete the song on the 2nd and Extend for over a year, and I still haven’t been able to even reach the end of the song.

However, the song is much easier in F 2nd, and I’ve managed to pass it with a standard grade (originally with the help of items, but I finally managed to pass without any help). This took 146 attempts. I don’t think I’ve played a song so many times in the DIVA series.

⦁ 2D Dream Fever
This is second on the list as I still haven’t achieved a standard grade without help items, and it took several attempts to achieve that – not as many as The Intense Voice of Hatsune Miku though. I don’t know if it’s how fast the song is, or the flashing lights which causes me to make mistakes.

⦁ Two Faced Lovers
This song is difficult on Extend as well as F 2nd. I haven’t passed the song on Extend but I have on F 2nd (used help items). I don’t particularly like this song, I don’t mind it but it’s not a song I rush to when I play Project DIVA, it’s a song I play if it comes up on random or if I’m feeling like trying to get a standard grade on it. So that’s probably why I find it very difficult. It also requires the use of both hands and to be able to press the symbol and corresponding arrow button in rhythm, something I’m still awful at and find I can only do if I know the song very well.

⦁ The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku
This song is very quick, just like The Intense Voice of Hatsune Miku. However, I find this song a lot easier in comparison. I have managed to pass it with a standard, but I spent a lot of time to achieve that. It probably helps that I knew the song very well before I played the DIVA games, so I’m able to stay in rhythm with the song.

⦁ Sadistic.Music∞Factory
This song took me forever to achieve a standard grade without help items. It didn’t take me as long as the songs above, but it certainly took me some time. I’m really not good with the rows of notes that require both buttons to be pressed alternately, so this took me a ton of practice to get right. I really hate the part where it goes square, triangle, circle and x over and over again really quickly, I’d accidentally miss a button or the analog stick would get in the way.

⦁ Negaposi*Continues
This is the easiest 10-star song I’ve played on the Project DIVA games. I think it only took me a couple of tries to achieve standard grade without help items. I can just press buttons very quickly, so I found this very easy in comparison to those higher on the list that require you to alternate the directional and symbol button.

⦁ Ievan Polkka
I remember when I first played the tutorial on extreme on F 2nd. I had passed Packaged on hard and unlocked it on extreme, and then a notification appeared on screen saying I had unlocked the extreme tutorial or something (it’s been so long since that happened). So I obviously played it. I was so shocked when I had finished it. However, I have achieved a standard grade on it since, and I don’t think it took me too many attempts. Since it’s a tutorial, it’s impossible for the song to end early due to missing too many notes, which is why it’s a lot lower on this list.
