Holy Shit. Shingeki No Kyojin is getting quite mental and philosophically confusing but in a good way. These past few chapters have been hyping me up for the return of Shingeki No Kyojin due for this late this year. But, man, the straight exposition we got from the chapter was a little bit weird but I did like it because it really explained the hazy premise of what Eren and the crew must accomplish. Well before you get spoiled let me warn you that I’m going to be discussing the latest chapters of Shingeki No Kyojin. You have been warned.
Starting with the second to last chapter, it was chock full of meta occurrences talking about the reason the manga is called what it is. The last page was also quite the bombshell in the revelations for the manga and its future. When I read this last page, I was quite shocked. I stared at that page for quite a while. It seems that the powers of the titan seem to transcend time. The memories of the past and future users of the titan shifting powers seem to reside within all those who use the powers. So the previous user of Eren’s Titan powers had memory fragments of Armin and Mikasa. QUITE THE MINDFUCK. It was quite the revelation to me. It leads to many questions that have no answers.
The latest chapter reveals to us that the exposition that was revealed to us was explained to the general public. In addition to that, we have Eren going full crazy mode and resolving himself. The last few pages also talk about the endgame that Eren is trying to reach: freedom. Shingeki No Kyojin is setting up for great things during 2017 and the years to come. It’s also getting me hyped for Shingeki No Kyojin Season 2
