Anime is full of different villains, each evil in their own way. So I decided to create a top 10 list of villains I have seen in anime. However, this list will just contain villains, not anti-heroes, since villains want to achieve something for their own benefit. This will contain spoilers, so if you see a character from an anime that you haven’t seen yet, avoid reading their description to save yourself from reading spoilers.

  1. Father – Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Father is the root of all evil in FMAB, since he created all seven homunculus and plans to kill everyone, except for a select few who will be given immortality in an attempt to create a ‘perfect’ world. Pretty messed up in my opinion.

  1. Orochimaru – Naruto

I hate Orochimaru, he’s creepy and he’s after Sasuke after failing to get Itachi’s body. He steals people’s bodies so he can’t grow old and die, which is a weird way to achieve immortality. It’s also pretty messed up that he’s going after young Sasuke, not to mention really, really creepy.

  1. Madara – Naruto Shippuden

Madara wants to put everyone under a genjutsu to create a perfect world where he can control everyone (what is it with villains and creating a perfect world?). I’m not exactly sure why he wants to do this, since I haven’t finished Naruto Shippuden, but I’m going to guess he’s pissed that Hashirama beat him and he wants to get revenge for everyone hating the Uchiha. Probably wrong, but oh well. He’s evil, so he’s on the list.

  1. Akatsuki – Naruto

I know Naruto is here again, I’m sorry but it’s just full of so many evil characters. So here’s the Akatsuki as a whole (minus Itachi though), since they’re all pretty evil and if I gave them their own spot on this list then there wouldn’t be room for other characters from other anime. The Akatsuki is a group of criminals who have left their village to join this organisation, although it did start off with good intentions but Madara decided he would use them for his own gain (why, Madara, why? I know it was actually Obito, but he was technically under the real Madara’s control).

  1. Akito – Fruits Basket

She’s not exactly evil, but she doesn’t exactly do nice things throughout the series. She hurts Hatori’s eye, wants to lock Kyo up, manipulates Tohru, and is just not a nice person towards the zodiac in general. While it’s not directly her fault, since her mother wasn’t exactly the greatest role model to look up to and didn’t exactly treat Akito right, I still view Akito as the villain in Fruits Basket.

  1. Titans – Attack on Titan

I’m more specifically looking at Annie and the other two titans (who I won’t name because spoilers). I don’t exactly know why they’re doing what they’re doing, but I definitely view them as villains at this point in time until they’re shown being anti-heroes. Annie has killed quite a few characters too, and I don’t like her.

  1. CCG – Tokyo Ghoul

Yes, they do kinda have a good reason behind killing ghouls, but since they target ghouls who want to live peacefully with humans I have to consider them as villains. Not all of them are evil though, and I do like Amon and Akira, it’s just some of the higher-ups I don’t like due to their ways.

  1. Charles zi Britannia – Code Geass

He’s the reason behind the deaths of so many innocent people, and he treats his children badly – especially Nunnaly.

  1. RagyoKiryuin – Kill La Kill

Not only did she abandon Ryuko, but she treats most people awfully. She’s creepy, and just plain evil. I did not like her one bit in Kill La Kill.

  1. Aizen – Bleach

In my eyes, Aizen is the most evil character out of all villains. He’s extremely selfish and will do anything to get what he wants. I don’t hate a character more than I hate Aizen, especially since he’s the reason why Gin died. Because I hate him so much, I view him as the worst villain. So kudos to Kubo for creating such an evil character.

So that concludes my list! Do you agree with my picks? Did I miss anyone out? Leave a comment below!
